Jewish Employee
Listening Sessions
Safe spaces for Jewish staff to share lived experiences and shape positive change.
Jewish Employee Listening Sessions
Inclusion begins with listening.
Jhive’s Jewish Employee Listening Sessions create confidential, facilitated spaces where Jewish staff can share their lived experiences, challenges, and ideas for positive change in the workplace.
Led by experienced facilitators, these sessions help employers hear the voices of their Jewish employees directly, offering insight into what inclusion really feels like from their perspective.
Each session gives participants the chance to express how workplace culture, communication, or misunderstanding might impact their sense of belonging. For organisations, it’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and take meaningful action to strengthen inclusion, wellbeing, and trust.
Why Jewish Employee Listening Sessions Matter
Jewish inclusion is often missing from wider workplace diversity discussions.
While many employers are committed to equality, few have the awareness or confidence to understand Jewish identity, address antisemitism, or respond effectively to staff concerns.
Our Jewish Employee Listening Sessions help bridge that gap. They turn silence into dialogue, uncertainty into understanding, and intent into action.
What a Listening Session Involves
Each facilitated listening session is led by a Jhive facilitator and can be delivered in person or online. Sessions are tailored to suit your organisation’s size, culture, and goals.
They include:
Confidential group discussions where Jewish employees can speak openly in a safe and supportive environment.
Structured reflection, helping participants share experiences and identify common themes.
Actionable insights summarised for HR, EDI, and leadership teams to inform inclusion strategies.
Debriefs for EDI leads or senior managers to explore next steps in fostering Jewish inclusion.
All sessions are grounded in psychological safety, ensuring participants feel respected, heard, and supported.
Beyond the debrief, Jhive can provide tailored follow-up support to help your organisation turn insights into action. Our team has expertise in reviewing HR and EDI policies and blueprints, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting practical steps to strengthen Jewish inclusion.
We can also collaborate with organisations to design and implement inclusion initiatives, such as celebrating Jewish festivals, Jewish Culture Month, hosting awareness events, or engaging with local Jewish communities, activities we already deliver successfully with several partner organisations.
Benefits for Employers and Teams
Listening sessions provide unique value to both Jewish employees and their organisations. They:
Build trust and transparency between staff and leadership.
Demonstrate authentic allyship and care for employee wellbeing.
Help identify practical changes that improve Jewish inclusion.
Strengthen communication, respect, and team cohesion.
Supply evidence and insight to guide EDI and HR policy development.
These sessions can be delivered as standalone initiatives or integrated with other Jhive programmes, including:
- Jewish Cultural Competence Training
- Antisemitism Training
- Or as part of your journey toward the Jewish Inclusive Workplace Standard
